Cone of Shame

One of my dogs, Sandy, had surgery recently. Everything went well, but she’s roaming around the house with a cone of shame around her neck and an old pair of my pajama pants around her waist. It’s quite humorous. I decided to capture the moment with a sketch. Read more


Portfolio Highlight

My dad is an art teacher, and noticed I had a knack for drawing at the age of three. As I got older, I gravitated towards cartoons and comic book illustration for my drawing style, but it wasn’t until I started working full-time as a graphic designer that I took my illustration more seriously.

My process always involves drawing my initial concepts and refined sketches in pencil. Then I scan them into Adobe Photoshop to clean up and create a tracing image. Lastly, I use Adobe Illustrator to construct the final vector versions. I’ve selected some of my work posted below. If you want to see more, please visit Starlite Creative on Flickr.
